Shelby Sharp, M.S.

Shelby has her B.S. from Va. Tech and her M.Sc. in Occupational Therapy from Russell Sage College.  Besides being a certified personal trainer, she is also a Licensed Practicing Occupational Therapist.
Shelby special areas of expertese include flexibility and biomechanics; functional balance and muscle re-training following injury or surgery (past injuries and/or surgeries).
Beside personal training, she also teaches several group exercise classes at BCH&F including Body Pump, Indoor Cycling, Pilates mat and special fitness classes.  She is also certified in Yogafit and Nordic Walking.
Shelby Sharp's Boot Camp Escape is held Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays
at 6:00am in the parking lot at BCH&F.

Michele Niles, B.Sc.

Michele is a certified Personal Trainer and owns Integrative Fitness Consultants,
the Smart Exercise program that establishes personal heart rate zone training programs.

Certified in Spinning and Nordic Walking.
Michele is a Cat 1 ex-professional cyclist and leads the BCH&F
Indoor Off-Season Cycle Training Classes.

Ron Castle, CPT

Ron is certified through the I.S.S.A. and specializes in active aging programs. Fitness programs include pain management.

Personal Training Is Available Without A Membership

You can have access to the island's best team of Personal Trainers without having to become a member of Beach City Health and Fitness.
This allows anyone and everyone access any trainer who works at the club.
You have all the benefits of a Personal Training Studio, with all the benefits a fully-equipped health club offers.
Plus, you know the Personal Trainers at Beach City Health and Fitness have already undergone background checks and professional certifications
required to offer services at our health club.
Call 843-681-6161 for more information about personal training.  Personal Training sessions and packages are also available to those visiting the island on vacation.

April Sapp, B.Sc.

 
April received her B.S. in Exercise Science from Georgia Southern University, and is also the Club's Assistant Manager.
April is certified as a Personal Trainer and a Group Exercise Leader. She is also a certifed nutritionist. She instructs Pilates, Body Pump, Zumba, STEP and Kick. She also holds certifications in Body Combat and Nordic Walking.  April is an active runner and triathlete, and is adept at designing fitness programs from weight loss to sports enhancement.

Phil Sandmeier, CPT
 
Phil graduated from Villanova, and also the Antonelle School of Photography.
He knows how to help develop a picture-perfect body.
His personal training certifcation is through the Northeast Association of Personal Trainers.

Phil specializes in aerobic conditioning, strength and flexibility training.  He is certified in Pilates and was trained by the Kane School of Core Integration, NY-NY.
Phil is an active runner and triathlete who has completed Ironman-Distances.

Christina Lindstedt, B.Sc.

Certified by the American College of Sports Medicine.
Functional and Golf Fitness Specialist.
Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Level 1 Certification

Christina is an active golfer, runner, and sports enthusiast.

Michael Miller, B.Sc.; CPT

Michael has his B.S. from Salisbury State University, and is an ISSA certified personal trainer.
Michael is a strength and conditioning specialist, who is also a NCTMB licensed Massage Therapist.

George Newell, B.Sc., M.Sc.
Besides his degrees in Exercise Science and Exercise Physiology from Miami University,
George is certifed as an Exercise Specialist through the ACSM.
He is also well versed in Aeriatric and Adult health and fitness, as well as
creating exercise programs that combine aerobic and strength training
for long-term benefits.
